Senior Engineer, Electrical (Eng. Services Team - Electrical - Gas Ops.) Join or sign in to find your next job Join to apply for the Senior Engineer, Electrical (Eng. Services Team - Electrical - Gas Ops.) role at ADNOC Group Ensure the provision of technical support to studies, Major and Minor projects in the design of electrical power systems in all phases of the projects until commissioning. Lead studies and adequacies to safeguard the integrity, reliability, and availability of electrical assets throughout all company plants and electrical interfaces with other ADNOC Group Companies and / or other outside companies. Key Accountabilities Provide technical input to update company specifications to incorporate the latest industry trends and lessons learned. Support projects for minor upgrades, revamping, major projects, develop conceptual studies, and prepare requirements for new projects. Assist during asset life extension assessments and equipment replacements to ensure modern, proven equipment is used with minimal risk. Witness factory and site acceptance tests, pre-commissioning, and commissioning to ensure compliance with specifications. Lead feasibility studies and review manufacturer proposals for electrical equipment upgrades. Support multidisciplinary studies and provide technical resolutions for maintenance and operational issues. Assess future power requirements for new projects and expansions to ensure network reliability. Prepare Electrical Technical Notes with recommendations for design and operational issues. Review execution strategies, designs, and specifications to optimize costs while meeting requirements. Ensure consistency in bid document preparation and tender evaluation. Investigate electrical failures and equipment problems, liaising with vendors for solutions. Lead project implementation from scope to commissioning, monitoring adherence to budgets and schedules. Participate in root cause analysis studies. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum Experience & Knowledge At least 8 years of experience in electrical power systems within a large industrial or oil & gas organization. Experience with HV, MV & LV switchgears, VFD, IPCS, motors, EX equipment, UPS, transformers. Knowledge of power system studies, electrical codes, standards, and design practices. Familiarity with medium and high voltage systems, protection relays, and system obsolescence management. Understanding of ISO 9000 QMS and EMS requirements.
