About the role
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead a talented multi-disciplinary team of technical specialists in the delivery of a diverse range of medium-to-large-scale water and wastewater projects.
We work on design projects for many water utility companies in the Middle East.
Your typical duties and responsibilities will include involvement in programme management of medium to large-sized projects whilst managing the electrical design and integration with other disciplines and contributing to the preparation of design deliverables to achieve the correct time/cost/quality balance for the project.
You will be involved with business development including providing specialist support to our Account Leaders and engineering practices and will contribute to proposals and tenders in the water and wastewater fields. The role will require team management responsibility on a project-by-project basis.

You will be involved with business development including providing specialist support to our Account Leaders and engineering practices and will contribute to proposals and tenders in the water and wastewater fields. The role will require team management responsibility on a project-by-project basis.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but are not limited to, the below:
- Undertake engineering services on a range of water and wastewater sector projects including pumping stations, transmission mains, storage reservoirs, distribution networks, etc.
- Undertake basic and detailed engineering, preparation of technical specifications for tenders, tender evaluation, discussion with tenderers and award of contracts, post-award review engineering of vendor\'s design and drawings, detailed design/engineering, etc.
- Undertake technical review, contractual review for project due diligence roles, periodic construction monitoring, and operational monitoring review.
- Manage and motivate project design teams.
- As part of the technical advisory, you will do site selection, layout development, basic system engineering, preparation of feasibility report / detailed project report/ concept report, and project developer\xe2\x80\x99s bid assistance services for the development of the project.
- When working on a specific project which may require short periods of travel including site visits and client meetings, responsibilities will be as defined by the project manager responsible for that assignment.
- Managing the interfaces and integration of the electrical design with that of other disciplines.
- Managing and contributing to the preparation of design deliverables (such as drawings for plant general arrangements, documentation, schedules, and design reports) to achieve the correct time/cost/quality balance for the project.
- Business development including providing specialist support to our account leaders and practices and contributing to proposals and tenders in the water and wastewater fields.
Candidate Specification
- Degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited university; Professional Engineering Registration or a Chartered Engineer from a recognised professional institutions
- Shall be able to demonstrate the following key skills;
- Water pumping station design
- Design for electrical plant (motors, MCC, power supply)
- Design of electrical power supply (HV & LV)
- Detailed knowledge of electrical design software
- Peer review electrical contract documents, calculations & reports
- Detailed knowledge of electrical specifications and datasheets
- Pumping station control design - Control Philosophy
- Detailed understanding of P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s
- Peer review ICA contract documents, calculations & reports
- Detailed knowledge of ICA specifications and datasheets
- Detailed knowledge of testing and commissioning (FAT & SAT)
- Water pumping station design
- Able to manage, lead and successfully deliver multi-disciplinary projects.
- Flexibility to travel within the UAE/KSA and overseas would be advantageous to help support our international workload.
