Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly qualified
Senior Electrical Engineer with a UPDA Grade A certification and extensive experience in BIM-based supervision of electrical systems
. The successful candidate will oversee the design review, site supervision, testing, and commissioning of all electrical works, ensuring full compliance with QCS, local authority regulations, and international standards.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all
electrical works
including LV, MV, lighting, power distribution, ELV, fire alarm, telecom, and earthing systems. Review and approveBIM models, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as-built drawings
. UtilizeBIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360)
for electrical design review, coordination, and clash detection with other disciplines. Conductsite inspections
to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications. Ensure compliance withQCS, Kahramaa, Ashghal, and Civil Defense
standards and approval procedures. Participate incoordination meetings
, resolving design and execution conflicts through BIM workflows. Supervisetesting, commissioning, and handover
of electrical systems. Validate contractors'progress reports, invoices, and variation claims
. Providetechnical guidance and mentoring
to junior engineers and BIM technicians. Act as the client's representative in alltechnical and BIM-related discussions
with consultants and contractors.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred). UPDA Grade A certification (mandatory). 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering supervision, with at least 8 years in Qatar/GCC. Strong expertise in electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, fire alarm, and telecom). Advanced proficiency in BIM platforms: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 (Dynamo is an advantage).
