Job Description

Designs electrical systems and preparing drawings and layouts for Hospital wide projects. Provides on-site construction supervision.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Communicates with Hospital Departments at various levels to discuss and identify needs and requirements. 2. Designs and/or supervises the design of a variety of electrical systems. 3. Coordinates electrical systems with architectural components and other disciplines. 4. Contributes to the engineering design/study of hospital infrastructure systems upgrade and facility master planning. 5. Writes technical specifications and Bill of Quantities. 6. Provides cost estimation of projects. 7. Reviews and evaluates electrical design drawings and specifications prepared by other engineers. 8. Conducts on-site inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with all recognized standards and contract specifications. 9. Supervises on-site construction testing of electrical systems performed by the contract and/or testing of equipment in the factory and provides Section Head with detailed test reports. 10. Performs final review and approval of the contractor’s payments. 11. Provides construction progress reports and punch lists to Project Managers and Manager. 12. Reviews contract change orders. 13. Ensures electrical safety requirements during construction and issues notices of violation where unsafe conditions exist, then conducts follow up inspections. 14. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable. 15. Follows all Hospital and related policies & procedures.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Five (5) years of related experience with Master’s or seven (7) years with Bachelor’s Degree required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
  • Proven record in the design and construction supervision of electrical systems in new and existing buildings in a large health care facility.
  • Knowledgeable of US codes and standards including NFPA/NEC.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects.
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Non-Saudi Engineers must obtain minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers license is required.
