to join our client a multinational engineering company's Oil & Gas project team in Qatar. The selected candidate will function as a
senior point of contact for electrical discipline activities
, ensuring the highest quality of deliverables and technical excellence. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in both onshore and offshore oil & gas projects, including brownfield modifications.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the senior point of contact for electrical discipline activities and deliverables.
Lead, guide, and supervise electrical engineers and designers in project execution.
Ensure all design and engineering work meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
Prepare, review, and approve specifications, drawings, and technical deliverables.
Perform and validate electrical system design calculations using
ETAP
or similar software.
Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and client requirements (IEC, NFPA, Shell DEPs, etc.).
Provide technical expertise during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Support site teams with construction, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
(or equivalent) from an accredited university.
10-15 years of relevant experience
in electrical engineering within the oil & gas sector (onshore & offshore).
Minimum 5 years
of brownfield modification experience, including offshore facilities.
Proficient in electrical system studies and design calculations using
ETAP
.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEC, NFPA, Shell DEPs, etc.).
MMUP Grade A Certification
(advantageous).
Familiarity with upstream and downstream oil & gas processes.
Prior site construction and commissioning experience is an added advantage.
