Job Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be solely responsible for managing the electrical engineering work scope for high-voltage systems used in renewable energy offshore platforms. The role involves planning, reviewing, and executing engineering deliverables, collaborating with international technology partners, and providing technical direction to subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate brings over 15 years of experience in HVDC/HVAC offshore systems and familiarity with global classification standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of electrical engineering deliverables for HVDC and HVAC auxiliary systems
  • Execute design and review tasks aligned with IEC, IEEE, and DNV_GL/BV classification standards
  • Support all phases of renewable energy platform development, from concept to commissioning
  • Coordinate with HVDC/HVAC technology partners and manage subcontractor performance
  • Ensure technical quality, timely delivery, and compliance with project objectives
  • Provide expert-level guidance on electrical engineering issues and client interactions
  • Liaise with engineering and operations teams to ensure unified project execution
  • Promote safety-first behavior and drive engineering excellence throughout the team
  • Identify project risks related to electrical design and propose corrective actions
  • Use engineering software (ETAP, AGi32, ERP, EDMS) to model, analyze, and document system performance
  • Assist with construction, pre-commissioning, and startup support as required
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical design for offshore HVDC/HVAC platforms
  • At least 6 years of proven capability in engineering design firms or EPC environments
  • Deep knowledge of IEC, IEEE, DNV_GL, BV, and related electrical standards
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as ETAP, AGi32, MS Office, and ERP/EDMS systems
  • Strong ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines across the project lifecycle
  • Experience in delivering large-scale offshore renewable energy or oil & gas projects
