Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Power System Management:

Oversee the complete lifecycle management, operation, and maintenance of all

HT (e.g., 33kV, 11kV, 6.6kV) and LT (e.g., 415V) switchgear, transformers, substations, power distribution networks, and control panels

.

Maintenance & Reliability:

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive

Preventive Maintenance (PM)

and

Predictive Maintenance (PdM)

schedules for critical electrical assets, including condition monitoring, thermography, and vibration analysis.

Troubleshooting & Breakdown:

Act as the

senior technical lead

for major electrical breakdowns, diagnosing complex faults in power systems, large motors, drives (VFD/DC), furnaces (Induction/Arc), and press controls, ensuring rapid and safe recovery.

Project Execution:

Lead and manage electrical capital projects, upgrades, and modifications, ensuring compliance with international and local

UAE safety standards and regulations

. This includes scope definition, contractor supervision, commissioning, and final handover.

Energy Management:

Monitor and analyze power consumption, identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements, and implement strategies for

power factor correction

and demand-side management.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all electrical installations and work practices strictly adhere to the highest standards of industrial safety, including

LOTO

(Lockout/Tagout)

procedures and relevant

ISO/OSHA

guidelines.

Experience:

15 to 20 years

of hands-on experience in managing the electrical maintenance, operations, and projects of large-scale, high-power consuming industrial plants.

Industry Specifics:

Mandatory prior experience in a

Forging Steel, Press, Ring Rolling, or Steel Plant environment

is non-negotiable.

Technical Proficiency:

In-depth knowledge of

HT switchgear

(SF6/Vacuum), Protective Relays (Numerical & Electro-mechanical),

SCADA/DCS

systems. Expertise with large

AC/DC motors

, High-Power

VFDs and soft starters

, and knowledge of furnace power circuits. Familiarity with UAE utility regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA) is a strong advantage.

Team Leadership:

Mentor and technically guide a team of electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
