Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Centres (French Speaking)

Overview:

My client is seeking a

Senior Electrical Engineer

to lead the design and implementation of high-reliability, energy-efficient electrical systems for next-generation AI data centres. This role covers power distribution, UPS, generators, redundancy strategies (N/N+1/2N), and sustainability integration. You'll work cross-functionally with architectural, mechanical, and project teams to ensure scalable, future-ready infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Design resilient, fault-tolerant electrical systems for mission-critical environments Develop single-line diagrams, layouts, and schematics Specify and evaluate electrical components (UPS, switchgear, transformers, etc.) Ensure compliance with IEC, NFPA, and local codes Conduct system modelling (ETAP, SKM), arc flash, and load flow studies Coordinate with utilities and manage power capacity planning Implement redundancy and support renewable integration Collaborate via BIM and provide technical support throughout lifecycle Oversee FAT/SAT and maintain detailed documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering 8+ years in mission-critical electrical design (data centres preferred) Proficiency in ETAP or SKM, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit Familiarity with solar, wind, or microgrid systems a plus Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills

Fluent in French

PE licence or equivalent preferred; certifications (Uptime Institute, IEEE) a plus

Pay: AED300,000.00 - AED550,000.00 per year
