Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our growing operations in Qatar.

Provide technical assurance of Process designs through appropriate application of Shell technical standardsand specifications, implementation of DCAF and review of design deliverables and activities Ensure schedule and cost considerations are included in design decisions, while maintaining primaryresponsibility to assure safe and appropriate quality designs Ensure Electrical Engineering activities are executed in alignment with Shell's Project Delivery Roadmap andOpportunity Realization Process Delivery of the Electrical equipment engineering scope for assigned projects, ensuring flawless start up ofEquipment and compliance with agreed HSSE practices and procedures as defined under the QSGTL HSSEmanagement system Act as Senior Electrical equipment focal point in the review and preparation of engineering deliverablesranging from engineering study deliverables to RFC packages, commissioning procedures, ITPs, MaterialRequisition, Technical Bid Evaluations, etc Drive technical assurance: Assure engineering and construction of Electrical equipment engineeringdiscipline scope is carried out in compliance with required project standards and specifications, includingDEM1 and DEM2 standards Participate in engineering reviews regarding Electrical equipment engineering discipline, witnessing ofFactory Acceptance Tests, as required and participate in safety and quality audits and field reviews asrequired Drive installation quality, working with Construction contractor and QPH Construction team and providetechnical support for commissioning and/or start up of Electrical Equipment where applicable To be fully familiar and up to date with latest Shell and Industry standards and ensure compliance ofprojects design with these latest standards. To be fully familiar with Shell TAMAP, EFAs and SPEP forElectrical equipment Support COMPANY in auditing construction field activities for compliance and assist in resolution of fieldnon conformance issues as required Ensure design meets requirements of Shell's HSSE Framework Design and develop, as required, innovative technical approaches to the broader process engineering issuesand contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives (fit for purpose) Provide (one stop shop) Electrical equipment engineering support and delivery for QPH projects.Accountability for process engineering deliverables and engineering execution planning support includingprovision of senior engineering expertise Proactively working with the Engineering Manager to keProjects on track and achieve Top Quartile (TQ)performance for the portfolio Drive and delivery of an ever increasing effectiveness and efficiency in producing project designs, throughElimination, Simplification, Standardisation and Automation balanced against the need for Top Quartile FELin, and quality designs for the Qatar Project Delivery Hub projects Skills / Qualifications

Education, Skills & Experience: BSc., University in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Experience and Skill set: Minimum 8 years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related Electrical mechanical Design andEngineering Performs as a professional Electrical equipment engineer for projects and plant modifications from FrontEnd Development through execution / commissioning and start up Technical support for operation and maintenance of Electrical equipment Testing, installation, commissioning and start up of Electrical equipment Company Overview
