Role Overview:

Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Draughtsman who is responsible for preparing accurate electrical drawings and layouts based on engineering inputs and site requirements. The role includes close coordination with engineers, attending daily coordination meetings (VSCC), and ensuring accurate documentation of cable schedules, lighting layouts, and design modifications in compliance with project standards.

Interface with Engineers to implement approved electrical designs on site. Attend VSCC meetings and provide daily updates to Engineers on progress and site activities. Update Engineers on accommodation lighting layouts and cable schedules. Perform drafting activities using AutoCAD as per inputs from the Design/Lead Engineer. Prepare detailed drawings including layouts, SLDs, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and loop drawings. Generate construction/shop drawings, penetration drawings, and support details as per project scope. Maintain equipment schedules and MTOs for cables, trays, and related components. Conduct site surveys for drawing development and redline mark-ups. Ensure drawing/document control procedures are followed as per DDW-D or project standards. Support procurement and construction teams with accurate drawing documentation. Maintain updated drawing records, including revisions, redlines, and "as-built" versions.

Requirements

Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Bachelor's Degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably in offshore or marine projects. Strong knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word), Drafting/Modeling tools such as SP3D, PDMS, or CADMATIC software. Familiarity with systems like F&G, PAGA, telecom, and communication drafting. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and method statements. Strong understanding of electrical drawings, cable routing, and project documentation standards * Good communication skills in English.
