Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is presently inviting application of Senior Electrical Designers for our Abu Dhabi Engineering team.

Responsibiliites

• Assist the Lead designer in electrical design activities by timely developing the drawings as per project and company quality standards
• Ability to Analyze & understand Client requirements
• Ability to develop Bills of Materials
• SPEL, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modeling or 2D Drafting
• Electrical equipment layouts, Main Cable Routing. Lighting layouts and SLD\xe2\x80\x99s)
• Building Layouts (MCC, IER, Switchgear, Earthing layout, UPS layout)
• Electrical standard installation and block diagram
• Cable Schedule, load list and Bulk MTO preparations
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management
• Coordinate within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors etc.
• Participate in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out
• Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
• Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas

Skills / Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of design tools \xe2\x80\x93 AutoCAD / Micro station,
• SPEL, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modeling software experience
• Ability to organize and set priorities
• Ability to communicate and present effectively
• Ability to report in in English, both verbal & in writing.
• Proactive attitude
• 10+Years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Electrical design, minimum 5+ years Engineering consultancy
