Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership:

Lead the electrical design process for various building systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and communication networks.

BIM Integration:

Utilize Autodesk Revit to develop detailed 3D models of electrical systems, ensuring seamless integration with other building disciplines.

Coordination:

Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and efficient design solutions.

Compliance & Standards:

Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, industry standards, and sustainability certifications such as LEED or BREEAM.

Quality Assurance:

Oversee the preparation and documentation of calculations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

Team Mentorship:

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Client Interaction:

Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and address any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering within a consultancy environment, with at least 5 years in the UAE.

Software Proficiency:

Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit and other electrical design software; familiarity with BIM 360 and Navisworks is advantageous.

Regulatory Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority submission processes.

Project Experience:

Proven experience in leading the design and delivery of large-scale mixed-use projects.

Certifications:

Professional membership (e.g., CEng, CIBSE, IEEE) is highly desirable.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

Leadership Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships effectively
