A position has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer within our Infrastructure team in Dubai, UAE infrastructure division.

The ideal candidate will possess general infrastructure experience (energy network planning, ICT, power distribution network etc). In addition, some highways and earthworks experience and a broad interest in the urban environment and sustainable development would be preferable. You are ideally working in the Middle East

What will I be doing

Your daily responsibilities are expected to comprise the following...

• Working on the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, with technical inputs from numerous disciplines, including transport, energy, sustainability, and building engineers
• Preparing designs, drawings, technical reports, specification, and schedules.
• Provide design solutions to civil engineering projects Design HV and LV networks for masterplan, transportation, and highway projects
• Carry out load demand calculations for masterplans, public realm, and buildings
• Design Street lighting and telecommunications networks
• Design right of way cross sections for all utilities
• Propose off-grid renewable energy solutions including PV solar, battery storage systems etc.
• Produce reports
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects, collaborate with other disciplines as well as having excellent communication and presentation skills
• Produce reports, drawings, calculations and presentations
• Interface with the wider BH infrastructure and MEP teams, architects, masterplanners, stakeholder

• Significant experience in Dry Infrastructure Design in the Middle East
• A highly organised, creative, and conscientious individual, capable of managing multiple key stakeholder expectations
• Excellent written, visualisation and verbal communication skills, and can easily simplify complex concepts into compelling narratives to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A positive, resilient attitude with a willingness to undertake volume work processes
• Proven ability to manage time and act with pace, demonstrating a highly organised approach to work, and customer service.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write complex reports and RFPs
• Dry utilities \xe2\x80\x93 energy, ICT, power, highway design experience
• Strong attention to details and technicalities
• Excellent organisational and technical skills
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt and stress management skills
• Good IT and mathematical skills
• Relevant Degree in Engineering
• Experience in the Middle East essential
• Masters degree (MEng) in Engineering and or a relevant chartership will be advantageous
