We are looking for a highly skilled

Senior Draftsman

with extensive experience in

joinery and woodworking

, capable of leading a drafting team and coordinating closely with production, design, and site teams. This role requires not only technical excellence but also leadership and project coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of draftsmen, providing technical guidance, quality control, and mentoring Prepare accurate and detailed

shop drawings

for custom joinery items (e.g., wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, cabinets, etc.) Review and approve drawings produced by junior draftsmen to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications Translate interior design drawings into fabrication-ready shop drawings Ensure all drawings are aligned with project requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing constraints Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and installation feasibility Manage drawing schedules to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in the joinery or woodworking industry, with at least 2 years in a senior or team-leading role Expert in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D modeling software is an advantage Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes Proven experience in managing a drafting team and delivering high-quality technical drawings Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design documents
