Job Description

We're hiring! Join our team as a Senior DevOps PaaS Technology Engineer for the largest bank in the UAE.


The Senior Technology Engineer will be responsible for managing deliverables of the squad which includes building and executing pipelines. The position plays a key role in driving the engineering.


The engineer will be responsible for implementing all changes and delivering new technology into the bank by onboarding customers and applications to the platform via self-service and automation.


The engineer will work closely with other platform and product teams in educating them on new platform, services and features to ensure any transition and to ensure that consumption is optimal. The teams operate using Agile, DevOps and Product Management methodologies, delivering work packages based on the priority in the backlog.

Technology Engineering

Experienced in DevOps with strong infrastructure/security knowledge. Effective communicator to improve team and stakeholder transparency. Automate deployment/configuration for scalable environments. Collaborate to resolve infrastructure/application issues. Implement/manage CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/OCI). Knowledge of Microservices authentication/authorization. Use Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools for environment management. Proficient in GitHub Actions/Jenkins for CI/CD automation (Groovy/Python). Familiar with GitOps tools like Argo CD. Understand logging/monitoring solutions (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana). Preferred experience in Python programming.

Delivery Experience

Manage projects from inception to delivery, embracing core values of Collaboration, Ownership, Drive, and Enterprising. Possess cross-functional skills in delivery and operational support following DevOps methodologies. Deep understanding of DevOps/SRE, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and 12 Factor application principles. Ability to work under pressure and manage client expectations effectively. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

A. Education

Bachelor or Equivalent Degree 5+ years total engineering or operational experience

B. Experiences

3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role. Experience in large, complex global enterprises with high availability and transaction rates. Experience in the banking sector.

C. Technical/Functional

Automated build/deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) for Python projects Automation with Ansible Containerization (Docker, Podman) Required: Python programming experience Data/Machine learning CI/CD pipelines Linux OS with shell scripting Container management (Kubernetes, OpenShift) Helm based pipelines Automating security/regulatory checks Automated patching Production support (rotation basis) Agile engineering practices Networking fundamentals Security engineering practices and tools

Nice to have:

Public Cloud experience (Azure, OCI, AWS) Machine Learning projects
