Our client, a multinational corporation (MNC) operating in the oil and gas sector, is currently seeking a Senior Designer - Civil & Structural (Onshore) for an upcoming high-profile project. Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Civil & Structural Designer (Onshore) to support brownfield engineering projects in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will have over 12 years of experience in brownfield engineering drawings during Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages, preferably within the Middle East and ideally in Qatar. This is a critical role that requires deep knowledge of drafting standards, excellent AutoCAD skills, and an eye for technical detail.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and update

brownfield layouts

including underground composite drawings, drainage layouts, and details. Prepare

civil and structural drawings

for new buildings as well as modifications to existing buildings. Create

GA and detailed drawings

of concrete buildings and steel structures, including pipe supports, pipe racks, pipe bridges, platforms, and foundations. Prepare detailed drawings of

auxiliary steel structures

such as handrails, ladders, equipment supports, pits, and cable trenches. Conduct

site surveys

in oil and gas plants (onshore) and reflect findings in engineering deliverables. Review and check civil and structural drawings for accuracy and compliance with project standards. Prepare

structural steel connection detail drawings

, Civil and Structural MTOs, and develop procurement and construction MTOs. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure design deliverables meet project and client requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma/ Bachelors Degree In Civil Engineering, Structural Drafting or related Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software is an advantage.

Minimum 12+ years' experience

in brownfield engineering drawings (Concept, FEED, Detailed Design) within the oil and gas sector, preferably in the Middle East (Qatar). Experience working with

QatarEnergy

is highly desirable.

10+ years of proven expertise in AutoCAD

(2D drawings). Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering design standards and practices. Previous experience in brownfield layout development and building modification projects. Proven ability to prepare MTOs for procurement and construction phases. Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Soft Skills

Attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
