We are now looking for Senior Designer, Telecom to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reports To
The Senior Telecom Designer reports to Line Manager, Instrumentation & Controls and Telecom. Job Overview
The Senior Telecom Designer is responsible for handling FEED/Detailed/EPC engineering design projects and analysis assignments. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. In your role you will execute Telecommunication Engineering deliverables including System architecture, System Block Diagrams, Routing layouts, installation drawings, schematic diagrams, Earthing layout, Telecom Equipment layout, etc. Hunger for learning and sharing new ideas will be the cornerstone of your success. We also value people for whom safety are part of their professional skills Responsibilities and Duties You will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.

• In - depth knowledge of design tools \xe2\x80\x93 MicroStation (preferable) & AutoCAD.
• Knowledge and experience in 3D Modelling software experience (PDS, PDMS, SP3D) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Instrumentation related layouts and drawings will be added advantage.
• Carry out site visits / surveys and provides inputs to site visit reports Skills.
• Experience in IT / Telecom field including Security & Safety, wired & wireless communication in Oil & Gas.
• In depth Knowledge in LAN &WAN, ACS, CCTV, FOC, IDS, PAGA, Hotline systems, F&G and IP telephone etc.
• Installation layouts, Main Cable Routing, Secondary cable tray, Building Layouts, Equipment layout, Earthing layout, Telecom layout) Installation drawings and Telecom block diagram Develops working drawings, within company and industry standards and codes, from equipment specifications and detailed drawings to support completion of engineering deliverables.
• Performs layouts, design and checking work from the basic data supplied Designs and makes detail drawings from rough sketches involving intricate calculations and the application of fundamental engineering principles.
• Follow COMPANY QC procedures check list, Inter-Discipline checks, back checks and issue the drawing in quality manner without comprise on Quality requirement.
• Creates drawings involving plans, layouts, calculations and bills of material Works on assignments involving a variety of design procedures and techniques Records observations, performs calculations and prepares reports on assignments.
• Establishes project drafting standards and monitors their conformance Identifies cost effective solutions to design problems Assists in the preparation of bid evaluations Designs and constructs models, prototypes, processes or equipment; compiles and evaluates data, makes recommendations, prepares reports.
• Prepares estimates of time, quantities, materials required for activities related to design.
• Generates bill of materials from finished designs At more experienced levels, may act as coordinator on small projects.
• Plans assigned work effectively and obtains / provides information liaising with the project team and line manager/Leads, in time to control man - hours and achieve targets.
• Ensures quality in design, technical accuracy in the preparation of drawings, material quantities, etc including reviewing others work at more senior levels.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned project / phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints
• Coordinate for the preparation of as built.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy and Environmental objectives

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the oil and gas industry mainly being On-shore & offshore. Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company Demonstrated leadership experience and previous track preferred.
• Previous experience of working in the ADNOC group & Middle East would be an advantage.
• General knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
• Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and be flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and Communication.
• Good oral and written English skills able to produce fluent Documents, Reports, and Technical Notes
