Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for Senior Pipeline Designer to strengthen our team in Dubai,UAE.

• Carry out assigned pipeline design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
• To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
• Assume responsibility for the Pipeline design/drafting scope for the project
• Develop cost effective pipeline design and drawings
• To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks
• Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering
• To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs
• To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods and standards
• Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO
• To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection
• Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant
• Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets

Skills / Qualifications

• Diploma qualification or HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in an engineering design company
• Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction
• Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
• Previous Onshore Oil and Gas related Pipeline design experience
• Thorough awareness of International Design Guidelines and Standards
• A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
• Familiarity with typical software packages that are used in preparing pipeline design drawings (Auto CAD, Google Earth)
