The role

Our ambitious and close-knit creative team is driven by imagination, drive and personality, delivering outstanding multi-channel communication projects for our clients. The Senior Designer (SD) is a conceptual thinker, able to create designs that are as eye-catching as they are functional. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be a natural team player and be active in building a healthy, happy and inspired studio. As an employee-owned business we are collectively responsible for our continued growth and success. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Designer collaborates with the studio team to deliver a range of integrated design solutions to a varied client base in the Middle East and beyond.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing in this role

The responsibilities that we\xe2\x80\x99ll trust you with in the role include:
  • Contributes to development of creative brief and reviews creative options.
  • Preparation and presentation of high-quality creative solutions that best fit the brief.
  • Takes ownership for the projects allocated in terms of client service, quality, deadline management and the final product.
  • Deals with clients, both in person and on the phone, in a courteous and positive manner even when under pressure to deliver heavy workloads.
  • Keeps up to date with innovations and developments within the creative field.
  • Liaises with clients and suppliers as required.
  • Production management, design, print and paper specifications where required.
  • Proofing, press passing and checking quality of material received from printers as required.
  • Direct involvement with clients, providing good value and advice, actively searching for better ways to meet client needs.
  • Recognised by clients as a key point of contact with Emperor on an ongoing basis not purely during delivery of projects.
  • Has a full understanding of Emperor\xe2\x80\x99s offer, portfolio and client list.
  • Provides a role model through own actions and behaviours, helping colleagues to achieve their potential.

  • A good eye for detail.
  • Ability to conceptualise ideas and to think visually.

  • Demonstrates quality awareness.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Expert in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Ability to connect to other parts of business.
