As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and managing the development of Architecture and Interior design deliverables across various projects. This role involves overseeing design activities, providing technical expertise, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead design activities throughout project cycles, providing quality design, program management, review, and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Manage the development of design documentation, variation orders, RFPs, technical analysis, and design presentations, maintaining a risk and change register for control on all projects.
- Provide clear and consistent direction to architects and engineers through design reviews, aesthetic direction, and alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Implement an efficient design review process to ensure designs meet project objectives, budget, and functional needs.
- Manage procurement of consultants and construction coordination, ensuring final implementation aligns with design requirements.
- Coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders, building long-term relationships and integrated teams.
You will need to possess a clear, systematic approach to solving complex technical and aesthetic issues and can communicate solutions effectively in a high-level manner. - Degree in Architecture with at least 10 years of experience.
- Proven expertise in space planning and design management in a senior role.
- Proven developer ability to manage projects through all stages of design and construction.
- Expert knowledge of project documentation QA/QC and local UAE authority regulations.
- Proven UAE experience with a leading Developer is essential, demonstrating an excellent grasp of building considerations.
- Strong competency in using design software: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Revit, or equivalent, MS Office.
