The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
At least 10+ years of cost management or quantity surveying experience, from a consultancy background
Proven experience in pre- and post-contract cost management across major building or infrastructure projects
Previous experience working in Japan or broader APAC region is highly desirable
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
MRICS, or working towards chartership (support provided)
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Strong ability to manage client relationships and mentor junior team members
Experience in cost planning, tender analysis, procurement, and change management processes
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading cost planning, budget control, and value engineering efforts across complex developments
Managing the change control process and ensuring commercial integrity
Preparing and analyzing tenders/bids to ensure client value for money
Assisting with final account agreements and handling of claims and variations
Producing valuations, cost reports, and maintaining cost documentation for decision-making
Supporting dispute resolution with transparency and professionalism
Contributing to business strategy, team development, and project delivery excellence
