Position Overview
Senior Cost Controls Engineer role in Dubai responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust project controls systems across a portfolio of complex infrastructure and engineering projects. The position plays a critical role in budget control, scheduling, forecasting, earned value analysis, and management reporting to ensure projects are delivered within approved cost and time parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and technical support to resolve complex project controls and cost management challenges
• Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules in coordination with project teams
• Establish baseline budgets for resources, revenue, and costs using appropriate Work Breakdown Structures
• Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule, resource, revenue, and cost performance against approved baselines
• Prepare and update weekly and monthly project control and performance tracking reports
• Develop monthly and yearly resource, revenue, and cost projections in coordination with Project Managers
• Monitor project progress and perform variance analysis, recommending corrective actions where required
• Assess the cost and schedule impact of design changes, variations, and construction delays
• Perform earned value analysis and trend analysis to support accurate forecasting and decision-making
• Utilize historical project data to support realistic planning and forecasting
• Customize project control systems to meet specific project and client requirements
• Interface with clients, attend progress meetings, and present statistical and performance reports
• Prepare executive-level presentations for senior management project reviews

Ideal Profile

• Strong background in cost control and project controls within large engineering or infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and complex data sets simultaneously
• Experience working in consultancy or PMC environments with client-facing responsibilities

Skills Set

• Strong knowledge of project controls principles, cost management, and scheduling
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to perform earned value management and detailed variance analysis
• Strong analytical, reporting, and forecasting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Working knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
