KBR is looking for Senior Control Systems Commissioning Engineer to be based in Offshore for 6/3 rotation \xe2\x80\x93 Abu Dhabi UAE

Summary: The ideal candidate would be an experienced Control Systems/Instrument Engineer with formal qualifications and would have the following key skills :

• Experience of ADNOC, BP, Total (or a similar organisation)
• A Broad range of experience, at least 10 years, in the design, construction, commissioning and project management in the Control Systems discipline for the Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas industry.
• The ability to co-ordinate and provide assurance on all Control Systems, installation and completions actitivities.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience of multicultural project teams.
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of instrumentation process control and field start up.
• Requires a conceptual knowledge of specialized control systems ( ie compressor controls, batch, continuous, feedback/feedforward, cascade, theory of control)
• Ability to understand and implement a control strategy and application from P&ID instrument drawings.
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of configuration and applications level software.
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of field I/O devices.
• Specific experience in the roles and responsibilities outlined below.

Anticipated Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide a positive role in promoting good HSE culture.
• Evaluation of safety hazards and preparation of risk assessments.
• Witness and validate all Control System Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities.
• Witness and validate Control Systems Commissioning at Yard, Offshore & Onshore locations.
• Generate discipline status indices by system.
• Provide input to planning team to establish commissioning network, priorities, durations and look ahead schedules.
• Provide input into man-hour estimates for all work to be carried out and provide input to the reporting system.
• Identification of any areas of workscope minimisation during the course of the project.
• Review Commissioning & start up spares including Vendor spare parts and consumable list.
• Identification of materials, tools & test equipment required for commissioning.
• Review vendor packages for compliance with specifications witness running tests and final factory acceptance.
• Identification of temporary equipment required for commissioning of the facility Systems and liaison with suppliers of temporary equipment.
• Assist installation contractor & monitor execution of work to achieve mechanical completion.
• Acceptance of Mechanically Complete sub-systems from the fabricator including punch out, clearance and handover.
• Interface with Engineering support personnel on technical matters.
• Respond to site queries raised by Construction Contractor regarding Control Systems issues
• Provide technical support to the installation construction supervisers.
• Witness the installation of all control cabinets including suppliers panels.
• Witness installation of ICSS System and subsequent power up.
• Witness installation, splicing and testing of fibre optic cables systems.
• Witness installation and testing of all data highway cables.
• Witness installation of telecommunications equipment & LAN/WAN networks & subsequent power up.

Production of Commissioning Procedures.

• Develop a software control procedure for all programmable systems.
• Responsible for the management and backup of software.
• Identify / arrange & supervise supplier representatives to assist commissioning.
• Carry out Site Acceptance Test of ICSS.
• Witness testing software configuration against control narratives.
• Witness testing of graphic linking.
• Validate data base management.
• Ensure correct configuration of serial link data between ICSS & suppliers control systems & maintain an As-Built register of Bit Maps.
• Witness control loop and system application tuning.
• Witness and validate Cause & Effect logic testing of ICSS.
• Validate Commission telecommunications system including GA/PA & CCTV systems.
• Witness Commission Control Building office LAN/WAN & networking system.
• Provide assistance to operations during start up.
