Senior Contract Administrator

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the works are carried out and are progressing in accordance with the contract terms;
  • Report the progress of the works;
  • Manage the commissioning of works;
  • Manage the timelines and milestones of the project in view of its targeted completion date;
  • Manage the costs of the project, including adjusting the contract sum;
  • Supervise and inspect tasks that are to be, or are already, completed;
  • Liaise with and instruct the main contractor of the project;
  • Ascertain variations and determine applications or requests for an extension of time and respond accordingly;
  • Inspect and manage the defects and ensure that such defects are remedied within the stipulated time frame;
  • Record keeping such as records of site visits, site inspections, correspondences, invoices and payment slips; and
  • Certify works and issuing the relevant certificates
Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or related field AND five years of construction experience, which includes two years\' experience in field contract administration; OR, Nine years\' progressively responsible construction experience, which includes two years\' experience in field contract administration; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
