About the Role

Responsible for leading a team, sourcing aircraft spares, tools and services evaluating them technically and commercially whilst ensuring part availability to meet the needs of strategic projects and aircraft maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage Procurement/ Repair of aircraft parts, tools and services. As required liaise and co-ordinate with stakeholders such as Material Planning, Maintenance, Engineering, Contracts, Aircraft Programmer in decision making process or purchasing / repair and project management activity. Technically evaluating quotations for the work performed and negotiate best price and lead time/turn times ensuring maximum value for money in any buying or repair decisions. Evaluating scraps and propose possible alternatives to save assets and in-turn save cost. Arrange weekly team meetings to track team's performance, monitor trends on set KPl's such as Ageing RO's, Invoices and SDR,s and take satisfactory actions on areas of concern Ensure that the team is following Business Finance instructions on specified GL codes to be used while raising orders, scrap notes and also entering cost center details wherever required in accordance with company's policy. Identify poor performing vendors based on high number of SDR's, response time on queries, delivery delays, no flexibility on cost by providing discounts / incentives and manage them with the support of the Vendor Performance Team by providing relevant data. Identify and drive continuous improvement, sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues including training of new staff to deliver the teams KPl's such as SDR's not to exceed above 10 days, Overdue RO's not exceed by 5% and invoice to be approved before the due date. Maintain hand over to ensure business continuity during shift hand chance or annual leave. Manages system data set up which drives ERP system behavior and functionality. Progress and expedite ageing orders and communicate delivery dates with the customer as require. Ensure only approved vendors are used and manage suppliers to ensure on time delivery of parts. Provide satisfactory resolution to parts that are in quarantine by coordinating actions with suppliers and stores. Maintain a detailed understand of our ERP systems in relation to part master and configuration control ensuring any developments are fully understood, tested and trained before implementation. Ensure that all orders are released with an estimated repair value so that the accruals can be captured. Monitor the same periodically to isolate orders with zero value and identify the reason to avoid the same repeating in future. Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

About You

Dynamic and competent candidate to join the Supply Chain must possess the following:

University Graduate preferably post graduate from a recognized university. Trained in the field of component repair management. Ability to understand data related to aircraft such as RSPL, ATA chapters, Vendor Manuals, IPC, CMM, CMA, ESWC, SB and OEM/Suppliers Contracts related to Purchasing and Supply. Good analytical skills on materials specifications, products and industry requirements to comply with Engineering requests and services. Good persistent communicator and capable of multi-tasking often under pressure and without immediate supervision. Logical approach to problem solving and decision making Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members. Team oriented, positive leader and motivator, who is self-driven (Preferred) Extensive Knowledge of Airline MRO (Preferred)
