Job Description
Role Summary
Build and lead our end-to-end Compliance Management System (CMS) and serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). You'll be the primary liaison with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB), own regulatory obligations, and ensure robust conduct, AML/CFT, data protection, and operational resilience across the venture.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory leadership:
Manage all QCB interactions, submissions, inspections, and remediation. Maintain a live regulatory obligations register and deliver board-ready MI.CMS ownership:
Establish policies, product approval/change control, monitoring & testing, issues management, training, and records/retention.MLRO duties:
Lead AML/CFT framework--EWRA, CDD/KYC, ongoing monitoring, sanctions/PEP screening, STR/SAR filings, training, and independent assurance.Customer protection:
Approve marketing/disclosures; govern fees/charges, suitability/affordability (where applicable), arrears/forbearance, complaints handling, and vulnerable-customer standards.Qualifications
8-12+ years in financial services compliance, including senior leadership; GCC/Qatar experience preferred. Deep knowledge of QCB requirements (AML/CFT, conduct, outsourcing, complaints, reporting, operational resilience). Track record building/scaling a CMS in tech-enabled or high-growth environments. Strong board-level communication; ICA/ACAMS (or equivalent) preferred; Arabic & English fluency a plus. Must be based in Doha, Qatar
