: * Provide pro-active, effective, reliable and user-friendly support, guidance, advice and assistance to the VP & Executive General Counsel and Senior management on compliance matters affecting any aspect of DP World's business and ensure that the DP World's compliance obligations are always met, taking initiative in identifying and resolving problems and issues.
Assist the VP & Executive General Counsel with the development and implementation of appropriate compliance controls, policies and processes at DP World, that adequately meet the needs of the GCC Region and address its compliance obligations within the GCC.
Identifying the relevant laws and regulations affecting the GCC Region from a compliance perspective and translate such laws and regulations into DP World's compliance policies and processes, including, but not limited to privacy and data protection legislation (e.g. the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)), Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Anti-trust / Competition laws, and Economic Sanctions, and any other matters affecting the GCC Region.
Ensure that all external regulatory frameworks applicable to DP World are complied with, effectively and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with corporate functions, regional offices and business units within DP World GCC and monitor compliance with the internal Group global policies at DP World, and ensure that such policies are complied with, and lead the implementation of necessary controls to prevent / mitigate violations of Group global policies, and specifically undertake periodic reviews of the GCC Region policy compliance self-certifications by the businesses, and other company compliance programs.
Report to the VP & Executive General Counsel on internal and external compliance issues across the GCC Region, and prepare regular compliance reports periodically.
Support the VP & Executive General Counsel and lead the review, drafting and provision of advice on a broad range of regulatory and compliance documentation, ensuring all compliance requirements are met within those documents.
Work with corporate functions and other departments to identify and monitor their existing compliance activities and report regularly to the VP & Executive General Counsel on potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; and develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to deal with similar situations in the future.
Assist in addressing internal and external compliance related requests.
Guide and support less senior members of the GCC Region Compliance team and supervise their work where required (under the guidance of the VP & Executive General Counsel).
Identify emerging regulatory risks which may impact the Company in current and future operations and keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes affecting DP World GCC Region as well as changes to best compliance practices and professional standards.
To act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World's Founder's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Essential Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Law from an accredited university in the UK, USA, Australia or New Zealand or any other English speaking nation with a certificate in Compliance function. Desirable Qualification: Must be Arabic Speaker and working experience in the Middle East. Work Experience: Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in an internationally recognized compliance department of a multinational company, preferably experience working in the Middle East Region.
