JOB TITLE: SENIOR COMPLETIONS AND WELL TEST ENGINEER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Senior Completions and Well Testing Engineer will be responsible for carrying out assigned work with particular emphasis on HSEQ performance and cost-effective delivery.
- HSE:
- Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
- Understand how to identify the need for detailed risk assessment and MOC exercises and lead the process in a thorough and robust fashion.
- Understand the need for HSEIA and able (where applicable) to work with a client in ensuring compliance with regulations. Lead and assist in the preparation of required Studies (OHID, ENVID, HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, SIMOP, ERP) for completion and well testing operations.
- Ability to lead team discussions on operational safety performance and providing further support as may be necessary.
- Well Design (Completions and Testing):
- Ensure that well design and construction procedures comply with Petrofac, Client and the relevant legislative requirements.
- Provision of completion and well testing designs, planning, and operations management, promoting techniques and strategies that optimize operations and enhance job delivery
- Extensive completion design experience for a variety of completion types (surface, cased hole perforated / open hole, sand control etc.) for both conventional and smart completions
- Extensive Well Test design experience for various design concepts, including SWT packages & Drill Stem Testing DST for a variety of test types including Oil, Gas \xe2\x80\x93 NPNT & HPHT
- Extensive experience for a variety of completion component types (packers, tubing, safety valves, tubing hangers, packer fluid, annulus valves, Xmas trees)
- Extensive experience for a variety of DST component types (packers, flowhead, circulation valves, safety valves, tester valves, gauges and sampling carriers, tubing movement devices\xe2\x80\xa6) for open and cased hole testing
- Detailed working knowledge and understanding of well equipment metallurgy (casing/tubing, wellhead/Xmas tree, completion accessories etc.), elastomer selection processes and completion fluids selection
- Extensive experience in perforation design using (Wireline and Tubing Conveyed Guns)
- Determine the specification and manage the procurement of equipment and services such as, completion tubular, sand control systems, completion components, cased hole clean up, well testing, data acquisition, well intervention design work in line with Client and Petrofac guidelines including the generation of Call off\xe2\x80\x99s.
- Experience in evaluating drilling and workover units equipment capabilities, including Hydraulic workover units.
- Support preparation of cost estimates and AFE\xe2\x80\x99s for planning and well construction/intervention/repair in line with Petrofac policies and client requirements.
- Develop Technical standards and guidelines related to Well Completions, Testing , Intervention and Integrity.
- Operations:
- Write/Review all completion, well testing and workover programs and associated amendments
- Prepare all types of programs including those pertaining matrix acidizing, fracturing stimulation (acid and hydraulic), wireline, coiled tubing, and fishing.
- Lead CWOP, TWOP and post well review meeting and assist in DWOP.
- Liaison and communications with rig and service contractors in planning and operations processes.
- Monitor and support daily wells completion, intervention and workover operations, as applicable
- Production Technology
- Extensive experience in Artificial lift design, selection and installation for (1- ESP & 2\xe2\x80\x93 Gas lift, PCP, BP \xe2\x80\x9cpreferred\xe2\x80\x9d)
- Understand how to develop and deliver a well integrity management plan as per Client requirements.
- Familiar with Annuli MAASP calculation and allowable leak rate calculations for wellhead / tree valves and for downhole safety valve.
- Well Integrity technical input to materials selection, well barriers verification and P&A requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in completions, well testing and stimulation design and operations
- Engineering modelling (WellCAT, Stresscheck, Well plan, Prosper, etc.) to support completion design delivery
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge of industry standards (NACE MR0175, API 5CT, API-6A, NORSOK D-10)
- Offshore and onshore experience in a well engineering discipline.
- Valid IWCF certification or equivalent
- Offshore survival certification preferred.
- Sand control and HPHT experience preferred.
- Effective team building, and communication skills.
