to lead and execute the commissioning of systems and equipment for oil and gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities in onshore/offshore projects and will ensure systems are safely and efficiently transitioned from construction to operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for oil & gas facilities (mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation systems).
Develop and review commissioning procedures, method statements, and checklists in line with project specifications and standards.
Supervise and support field commissioning teams, ensuring all activities are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
Interface with engineering, construction, quality, and HSE teams to ensure commissioning readiness and resolve any technical issues.
Review P&IDs, equipment datasheets, loop diagrams, cause and effect matrices, and control logic for validation and testing.
Conduct functional testing, system handover, and final acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work systems.
Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or relevant Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commissioning roles within the oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of commissioning systems and processes (e.g., mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, start-up).
Familiarity with international standards such as API, IEC, ASTM, and ISO.
Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
