Position Overview
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate is seeking a seasoned Senior Commercial Manager to lead the contractual, procurement, and financial management of major development projects across Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee commercial strategy, ensure contractual compliance, and manage costs throughout all project phases - from feasibility to handover. This leadership role is integral in minimizing risk, optimizing investment value, and ensuring project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic commercial guidance to project teams to ensure financial efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Lead procurement activities, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Oversee cost planning, estimation, and control from project inception to completion.
  • Manage and administer consultant and contractor agreements in collaboration with the Group legal department.
  • Monitor and report on budgets, costs, and risk exposure across project portfolios.
  • Manage insurance requirements, claims, and disputes in compliance with contractual and legal standards.
  • Lead monthly reporting on cost, progress, and forecasted financial performance.
  • Maintain and develop the internal cost database and benchmark library for future projects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals to improve performance and develop talent.
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies, FIDIC standards, and commercial governance frameworks.
  • Streamline administrative and operational procedures for improved project efficiency.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of commercial management experience in infrastructure, retail, residential, or hospitality construction.
  • Proven background in FIDIC contract administration and dispute resolution.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Solid financial acumen with advanced knowledge of cost control and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • UAE or GCC experience preferred.
