The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, menu development, and kitchen management skills with a deep understanding of hygiene regulations and multicultural cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs de partie, commis chefs, and kitchen assistants.
Oversee the preparation, presentation, and quality of all dishes before they reach the customer.
Develop and update menus in line with food trends, customer preferences, and seasonal availability.
Monitor stock levels and control food costs, waste, and inventory with cost-efficiency in mind.
Ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with UAE food safety and hygiene regulations
Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff to maintain culinary excellence and kitchen hygiene.
Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients within budget.
Assist in recruiting, evaluating, and mentoring kitchen staff.
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or equivalent.
Minimum of
6-10 years
of culinary experience
HACCP certified (UAE certification preferred).
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with UAE labor laws and hospitality standards.
