Senior Chef - Kitchen Manager (Healthy & Nutritious Cuisine)
Location: Abu Dhabi
Role Overview
Lead kitchen operations with a focus on healthy, nutritious menus. Manage staff, control food and labor costs, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a kitchen culture centered on wellness and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen & Culinary Leadership
Oversee all daily kitchen functions--including food prep, cooking, cleanliness, staff training, and development
Menu Development & Healthy Focus
Develop health-conscious, balanced menus aligned with dietary trends and nutritional standards. Monitor portion control and allergen awareness .
Food & Labor Cost Control
Manage inventory, waste, and supplier relationships. Implement food costing processes and budget forecasting to maximize profitability .
Operational Excellence
Maintain SOPs, HACCP/HSE standards, and ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations
Team Management
Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate kitchen staff. Foster a cooperative environment and mentor junior chefs
Performance & Reporting
Analyze food/labor budgets and P&L reports. Track key metrics and adjust processes in line with goals .
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
Culinary diploma/degree or Hospitality Management qualification
Experience
5+ years culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/kitchen manager or head chef role--preferably in high-volume, healthy food environments
Technical Abilities
o Proficient in food costing and budget forecasting
o Strong nutritional and healthy cooking knowledge
o Skilled in inventory control and waste reduction
o Familiar with MS Office and kitchen management software
Regulatory Awareness
Deep understanding of UAE food safety regulations (HACCP, FSSAI equivalents, Dubai Municipality standards)
Leadership & Soft Skills
Exceptional team leadership, communication, organization, and attention to detail .
Preferred
Experience in healthy food or wellness-focused kitchens (e.g. grab-and-go concepts) .
Certifications in HACCP, PIC3, or other quality/safety standards
Familiarity with dietary considerations (allergens, vegan/vegetarian, calorie counting) .

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
