Senior BIM and GIS Engineer - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This role supports AECOM's major transportation and infrastructure programs by delivering high-accuracy BIM, GIS and CAD documentation for stormwater, sewerage, irrigation and microtunneling projects across Dubai. The position ensures all drawings meet authority requirements and provides technical drafting support throughout design and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise technical drawings, layouts and as-built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Translate engineering inputs into accurate and coordinated construction drawings
• Maintain drawings in line with RTA, DM, DEWA and AECOM standards
• Track and verify existing sewerage, stormwater and irrigation networks using DS, IRR and Roads project records
• Conduct site surveys with inspectors to validate construction progress and collect accurate data
• Prepare redline markups, section details, pipeline profiles and microtunneling shaft layouts
• Maintain structured digital archives of all drawings and revisions
• Review contractors' shop drawings and as-built submissions for compliance
• Provide drafting support during construction to ensure drawings match approved changes
• Assist in preparing utility coordination drawings to avoid conflicts across services
• Ensure layering, scaling, title block and CAD standards are consistently applied

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP, MicroStation, Infraworks
• Skill in ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks
• Strong understanding of Dubai authority requirements for infrastructure drawings
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain documentation accuracy
