Role Overview

The

Senior Bid Specialist

will lead the end-to-end bid and proposal process -- from opportunity analysis and storytelling to document design and submission -- ensuring every bid submitted is visually stunning, technically sound, and strategically aligned with client expectations.

This role demands not just expertise in bid management but

advanced-level command of Adobe InDesign

-- someone who can transform data, strategy, and design concepts into

compelling, visually immersive documents

Key Responsibilities

Bid Strategy & Management

Lead, coordinate, and manage the full bid lifecycle -- from opportunity identification and pre-qualification to submission and post-bid review. Collaborate closely with creative, commercial, and project teams to align bid strategies with company objectives. Analyse tender documents, extract key requirements, and craft tailored responses that highlight Scruffy Dog's creative and technical capabilities. Develop persuasive bid narratives, value propositions, and executive summaries tailored to client needs.

Advanced InDesign & Creative Proposal Production

Design and produce high-quality, visually captivating proposal documents using

advanced Adobe InDesign techniques

-- from custom layouts and stylesheets to interactive PDFs and dynamic templates. Establish and maintain

InDesign templates

, style guides, and document systems for brand consistency across all bids. Collaborate with the design team to integrate imagery, renders, and visual assets seamlessly into submission materials. Ensure every bid reflects Scruffy Dog's

brand excellence, creativity, and attention to detail

.

Quality & Process Excellence

Implement structured bid management workflows, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery. Champion continuous improvement by refining tools, templates, and processes to elevate bid quality and impact. Manage documentation, version control, and quality assurance for all submission materials. Maintain a library of case studies, visuals, and supporting material to expedite bid production.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or related field.

5+ years of experience

in bid/proposal management within creative, design, or construction industries.

Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign (Advanced level)

-- including automation, layout systems, master pages, interactive elements, and typography. Strong understanding of design principles, visual storytelling, and brand communication. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a meticulous eye for detail. Proven experience managing multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines. Knowledge of the themed entertainment, creative design, or construction sector is highly desirable.
