Position Overview
The Senior Architect role at AECOM Dubai is responsible for leading architectural design and delivery across all project stages. Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and BIM modelling in line with project briefs, codes, and multidisciplinary coordination requirements
• Manage and guide architectural teams, including mentoring junior staff and ensuring effective implementation of design decisions
• Perform self-checks and lead quality reviews of architectural deliverables as Design Reviewer to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external consultants, including structural, MEP, and specialist sub-consultants
• Present design progress, technical packages, and proposals to clients, ensuring alignment with project goals
• Provide strong design leadership during early project phases and maintain oversight through all stages
• Oversee preparation of architectural documentation in accordance with the approved design programme and project brief
• Lead interdisciplinary reviews, including BIM spatial coordination and technical integration
• Embed Safety in Design principles throughout all phases of the project
• Manage architectural resources and ensure delivery within agreed budgets and fee allocations
• Independently manage complex design and construction tasks in compliance with specifications and codes
• Lead moderate to high-complexity assignments, coordinating across teams and supporting staff development
• Identify and implement process improvements, resolving complex technical issues proactively
• Provide technical guidance, review outputs, support proposal development, and anticipate stakeholder requirements

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification
• Minimum six years of post-undergraduate professional experience
• RIBA Part 2, AIA, or equivalent professional accreditation preferred
• Proven experience delivering architectural projects across multiple design stages
• Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and multidisciplinary coordination
• Proficiency in BIM and architectural design tools
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client engagement skills
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused mindset
