Job Description

Short Description:

Looking for a Senior API Developer with expertise in IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, and SOA architecture to deliver secure, high-performance APIs and integration solutions within a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect
Ensure APIs meet scalability, security, and performance benchmarks
Build RESTful services with XML/JSON and manage full API lifecycle
Implement OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect-based API security
Develop and support integrations using IBM DataPower, IIB/ACE, MQ, Java, Oracle/SQL
Create HLD & LLD documentation and follow SDLC/SGLC processes
Deliver technical services for multi-tier SOA architecture
Provide 3rd-level support post go-live and assist in DR drills
Create test cases, conduct UAT, and support production releases
Maintain compliance with security and banking service standards (ISO8583, IFX, ISO20022, SWIFT)

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in SOA/API development
2-4 years in a similar role within the Banking/Financial industry
Hands-on with IBM API Connect, IBM DataPower, IBM ACE (IIB v10/11), ESQL, MQ, Oracle/SQL
Experience in integration protocols (REST, MQ, JMS, SFTP, HTTPS) and SOA principles
Familiar with API security (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID), testing tools (SOAPUI, Postman), and Linux scripting
Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and test artifacts

Preferred Certifications:

IBM IIB v10
IBM MQ v9.1
