Senior Antenna Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Antenna Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in antenna theory, simulation, and design, as well as hands-on experience in prototyping, testing, and characterization of antenna systems in the multi-kW power regime for various applications including radar, wireless communications, and intentional electromagnetic interference studies. Their tasks will support the experimental capabilities and the research and development programs at DERC.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop and test single-element and arrays of antenna systems and components.
Conduct electromagnetic simulations to optimize the performance of antenna systems and components.
Oversee the construction of antenna systems and components from external suppliers.
Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure the integration of existing and new designs of antenna systems into larger projects.
Develop and implement testing procedures for antenna systems and components.
Analyze experimental data to troubleshoot problems and improve performance.
Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to develop new antenna systems technologies and applications.
Maintain accurate documentation of experiments and test results.
Other duties related to the position.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of electromagnetic numerical simulations.
Experience with software tools such as COMSOL, CST, and/or ANSYS.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to conduct experiments in a laboratory setting.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The use of CAD software is a great plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering, Physics or related field.
At least 3 years of practical experience in antenna designing, development and testing, including associated RF and microwave circuit components.
