This Senior Advisor - Safety, Health and Environment role supports AECOM's major infrastructure projects in Dubai. The position focuses on developing and implementing SHE strategies, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a strong safety culture across all project activities. RTA Approval is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive SHE strategies for infrastructure projects
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare mitigation plans to minimize safety and environmental risks
• Implement SHE policies, procedures, and best practices across project teams
• Provide expert advisory support on SHE matters to ensure regulatory compliance
• Analyze SHE performance data and prepare reports for senior management
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate SHE elements into planning and execution
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs to promote safety awareness
• Stay updated on new SHE regulations, technologies, and practices
• Engage with regulatory authorities and represent the organization in SHE-related forums

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 12 years of SHE experience in the infrastructure sector
• Proven track record of developing effective SHE systems, policies, and sustainability initiatives
• Strong knowledge of local and international SHE standards
• Professional certifications like NEBOSH, CSP, or CIH are preferred
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory environment and infrastructure project requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills
