Job Description

The Chartered Accountant will oversee financial reporting, audits, tax planning, compliance, and financial analysis. The role involves providing strategic financial advice and ensuring that the company's financial practices align with statutory regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow). Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Taxation:

Handle tax planning and compliance (direct and indirect taxes). File tax returns and liaise with tax authorities.

Auditing:

Conduct internal and external audits. Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor financial performance and variance analysis.

Compliance and Regulation:

Ensure adherence to financial laws, regulations, and standards. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting principles.

Advisory Services:

Provide financial advice to clients or management. Assist in business planning, mergers, acquisitions, and risk management.

Bookkeeping and Payroll:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations. Manage payroll and other financial transactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from a recognized institute (e.g., ICAI, ACCA, CPA). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks). Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. High ethical standards and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

Can work in public accounting firms, private companies, banks, government agencies, or as independent consultants. May require occasional travel for audits or client meetings.
