We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to support the Department Head to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures with a major emphasis on cost control and accounting processes for used car trading and car auction Company in Sharjah. The incumbent will effectively process accounts reconciliation, adjusting entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, vehicle

import costs, and shipping costs. closing and finalization of accounts in coordination with the Finance Department. In addition, the Senior Accountant will demonstrate continuous improvement methods for effective cost control, accurate financial transaction activities of the Company, and generate monthly financial reports for the Department.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • To efficiently and timely process all the accounts reconciliations, receivables, payables, closing, and finalization of accounts in coordination with the Finance Department.
  • Scrutinize all local suppliers to ensure that they are in line with the company rules and subsequently obtain quotations, process the purchase and fulfill their requirements in time and record the invoice in time and forward to Finance Dept. for arranging payment to the supplier.
  • To monthly maintain and update the Supplier Invoices database and fixed assets inventory of the Company for financial reporting.
  • Support the shipping department in working out the cost for the import of vehicles and updating and maintaining the cost center for each activity.
  • To effectively coordinate and maintain records with Finance and HR for Company's HR reimbursement/recoveries process.
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets records in order to exercise effective control of the assets of the Company in coordination with the finance department.
  • Develop suitable business MIS to encapsulate all the key performance indicators: financial & operational
  • Should be well versed in ERP systems and excel skills to process large data.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting standards will be a plus.
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
