Key Responsibilities:
1.
Core Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily journal entries.
Record financial transactions and perform regular bank and cash reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
2. Financial Reporting & Closing
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in a timely manner.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all adjustments and accruals are properly recorded.
3. Real Estate Accounting
Manage rental income, tenant accounts, security deposits, and owner statements in line with real estate practices.
Track property-wise revenues and expenses and reconcile balances for multiple properties or portfolios.
4. VAT & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and FTA requirements.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory standards.
5. Invoicing & Cash Flow Management
Raise customer invoices, monitor collections, and follow up on outstanding receivables to maintain healthy cash flow.
Process vendor payments, manage payables schedules, and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
6. Audit & External Coordination
Assist internal and external auditors by providing schedules, reconciliations, and required financial information.
Liaise with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.
7. Systems & Internal Controls
Operate ERP/accounting systems efficiently to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
Implement and follow internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve accounting processes.
8. Cross-Functional Support
Coordinate with operations, leasing, and management teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and queries.
Provide financial insights and support to management for decision-making and business planning.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA or ICMA certification preferred(or in progress).
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
, with strong exposure to local regulations.
Mandatory experience in the Real Estate industry
in the UAE.
Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems like Odoo and MS Excel.
Demonstrated consistency in maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and delivering reliable financial outputs.
Strong sense of responsibility with ownership of tasks, accountability for results, and commitment to ethical accounting practices.
Good communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
