Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Finance and Accounting Department in Kuwait. Candidates must have a solid working knowledge of GAAP, IAS, IFRS, and strong financial analysis skills.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Involvement in all month end processes
Maintenance of General Ledger Accounts and ensuring reconciliation and accuracy of information.
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Making supplier payments
Monitoring Fixed Assets register including depreciation, addition and disposal
Monitoring Advances (suppliers and employees)
Preparation and monitoring of Export Shipment documents and ensuring that proper pricing and documentation are in place.
Performing monthly Intercompany reconciliation
Handling and monitoring all Petty Cash transactions
Performing monthly Bank Reconciliations and weekly Cash Position Report
Assist in the preparation of Monthly Payroll WPS and Transfers and its necessary accounting
Processing of any other accounts' documents
Checking of contract / legal documents
Any other ad hoc duties required by the department
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ CA/CMA/ACCA) desirable
5-8 years of experience within the financial accounting
Solid knowledge of GAAP, IAS and IFRS
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, knowing Arabic will be an added advantage
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Self-motivated, pro-active and has sharp analytical skills
Good knowledge of MS office and excellent excel modeling skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to interact confidently with senior management and employees at all levels within the organization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to appropriately manage conflict and other challenging situations towards a successful outcome. Job Type: Full-time
