Senior Accountant

to drive financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and strategic support across our operations.

Role Summary

The Senior Accountant will lead the accounting function, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide insights that support business decisions. This role suits a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and experience in retail accounting, preferably jewellery or luxury goods.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Maintain and review general ledger accounts and journal entries. Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation. Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking. Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements. Supervise junior accounting staff and support their development. Coordinate audits (internal & external) and resolve findings. Provide financial insights and reports to management. Improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (retail/jewellery preferred). Strong proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Deep understanding of accounting standards and tax laws. Ability to handle multiple priorities with strict deadlines.
