Job Description

We are urgently looking for a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring statutory compliance. The role requires hands-on expertise in

Zoho Books

, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to support financial reporting, audits, and management decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping:



Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts using

Zoho Books

. Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation, credit control, and follow-ups. Perform bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis.

Financial Reporting:



Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate management reports such as cash flow statements, expense analysis, and budget variance reports. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.

Taxation & Compliance:



Handle VAT accounting in compliance with UAE VAT regulations. Prepare and file VAT returns through the FTA portal and maintain proper VAT documentation. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and statutory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Zoho Books & System Management:



Configure and manage chart of accounts, tax rules, vendors, customers, and inventory in Zoho Books. Integrate Zoho Books with banking, payroll, and other systems where applicable. Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and proper documentation within Zoho Books.

Coordination & Support:



Coordinate with procurement, HR, and operations teams for financial validations and approvals. Support Finance Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records, both physical and digital.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum

2-5 years of relevant accounting experience

(UAE experience preferred).

Mandatory hands-on experience with Zoho Books

. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance requirements.

Skills & Competencies:



Proficiency in Zoho Books and MS Excel. Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Good communication and coordination skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Preferred (Added Advantage)

Experience with Zoho ecosystem (Zoho Payroll, Zoho Inventory, Zoho CRM). Experience in construction, contracting, interiors, trading or services industries. Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CMA - partly or fully qualified) - added advantage.
