Senior Accountant (emirati Female Candidates Required)

Job Description

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA, ACCA) is highly preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven hands-on experience in Cost Accounting (Standard Costing, Job Order Costing, Variance Analysis). Extensive experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and consolidated financial statements. Demonstrated experience in reviewing and approving all accounting entries and reconciliations.

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or a similar tier-1 ERP system like SAP, Oracle). Prior experience in auditing (internal or external) is a significant advantage. Advanced Excel proficiency is a must. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS). Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in a manufacturing setting (e.g., Bill of Materials, Routing, Overhead Allocation). Experience with inventory accounting and valuation methods (FIFO, Weighted Average). Strong team management and leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor, train, and manage an accounting team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Reporting and Control:

Oversee the entire accounting cycle and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all financial reports. Prepare and present consolidated financial statements for the group. Manage the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. Establish and maintain strong internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.

Cost and Inventory Management:

Lead the cost accounting function: Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Monitor inventory levels and oversee periodic physical inventory counts. Analyze cost variances and work with operational teams to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Team Leadership and Operations:

Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger staff. Review and approve all complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure successful annual audits and compliance.

Compliance and Process Improvement:

Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, WHT) and statutory requirements. Continuously improve accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
