Currently, we are hiring a Senior Accountant for our client, who will be responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the company.
Main duties include preparing financial statements, examining, and analyzing a company\'s accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

After posting all AR and AP payments, perform daily bank reconciliation on all bank accounts and submit to the Finance Manager for review prior to submission to the Managing Director for final approval.
Posting of all AR/AP-related transactions, such as all Customer invoices, vendor invoices, airlines, agents, grooms, and any other vendor/supplier invoices unrelated to the jobs. All job-related invoices should be captured in Longitude before being pushed to Sage for recording.
Settlement of all AP invoices, including both job-related and general expenses, by the credit agreement.
Review all AP outstanding with the Finance Manager every week.
Notify the Finance Manager & and the General Manager if any payments are not received and the shipment date approaches so that they can escalate and plan to hold the horse passports.
Follow up on AR payments and update the Finance manager.
Settlement and top-up of all Credit Card Payments based on the due date.
Settlement of all Vendor payments.
Settlement of all Utilities Bills such as Dewa, DU, and Etisalat both company and MR.
Follow up with the team regularly to get invoices against open payables.
Submission of AR/AP details along with the Cash Flow Report every week (every Monday)
Preparation of Salaries along with the Weekend Flight Fees through WPS. Crossed-checked by co-accountant and authorized by Finance Manager prior to submission to the Managing Director for final approval.
Reconciliation and Submission of UAE VAT quarterly Returns.
Reconciliation of EU VAT and Duty Registers.
Senior Accountant
Renewal of all Bank guarantees before the expiry dates.
Submission of monthly recurring management entries to the Finance Manager for review prior to final approval of the Managing Director.
Preparing the workings of averages for each sector to prepare and finalize the Annual budgets, Capex and Cash flows with MD.
Other ad hoc tasks and reporting as required by the Finance Manager.
Other general accounting duties as assigned.
Technical & Core Competencies:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in similar positions in a high-volume, fast-paced logistics environment.
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Business Administration or any relevant degree
Preferred with CA/CMA/CPA/ACCA qualifications or any relevant license.
