Job Description

Senior Accountant at Thomsun Group will be responsible for managing the company's financial accounting, reporting, and compliance. This role requires a highly skilled professional to oversee accounting processes, ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

:

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring they comply with local, national, and international accounting standards. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Oversee tax planning and compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes. Prepare and file tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes. Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations. Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to management to support decision-making. Analyze variances in financial performance and recommend corrective actions. Monitor key financial metrics and implement controls to optimize financial performance. Maintain and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Work closely with departments to track expenditures and compare them to the budget, advising on necessary adjustments. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of outstanding payments. Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity and financial health of the organization. Lead and mentor accountants, providing training and support to develop their skills. Supervise day-to-day accounting operations and ensure effective teamwork. Identify areas for process improvement and implement accounting system upgrades or new tools to streamline workflows. Ensure proper documentation and support for all financial transactions.

Qualifications

Education

: Chartered Accountant (CA) certification Inter or Final

Experience

: Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software. Leadership and team management skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
