Position Title: Senior Accountant & Auditor

About the Role
We are urgently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Senior Accountant & Auditor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a CA Inter qualified professional with substantial, hands-on experience in the Abu Dhabi market. This role is critical for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights. The candidate must possess a strong blend of technical expertise in accounts/audit procedures, UAE-specific tax and regulatory knowledge, and proven leadership skills.
Key Qualifications (Mandatory)

• Professional Qualification: CA Inter (Chartered Accountant Intermediate) is essential.
• Experience: 2-3 years of post-qualification experience specifically within the Abu Dhabi, UAE market.
• Sector Knowledge: Demonstrable experience in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting for Abu Dhabi-based companies.
• Regulatory Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax Law, VAT, ICV (In-Country Value) certification requirements, and other relevant UAE federal and local (Abu Dhabi) regulations.
• Skills: Exceptional communication, reporting, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting:

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, and month/year-end closing.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with IFRS.
• Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation.
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls.

2. Audit & Compliance:

• Lead and manage internal audit cycles, ensuring robustness of financial systems.
• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate the smooth completion of statutory audits.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT regulations (filing, reporting, payments).
• Spearhead the ICV (In-Country Value) certification process and ensure ongoing compliance with related requirements.
• Stay updated on all changes in UAE financial laws and regulations impacting the business.

3. Leadership & Business Partnership:

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Drive process improvements in the finance and accounting function.

4. Communication & Reporting:

• Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive financial and operational reports.
• Communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
• Represent the finance department in meetings with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Candidate Profile

• Mandatory: CA Inter with 2-3 years of Abu Dhabi-specific experience.
• Strong Technical Accountant: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Tally) and advanced MS Excel.
• Regulatory Expert: Hands-on experience with UAE VAT return filing, Corporate Tax preparation, and the ICV process.
• Leader & Communicator: Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written). Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Ability to work under pressure, meet urgent deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
