: Senior Accountant / Assistant Accounting Manager

The Opportunity:

You will own the entire accounting lifecycle for a range of exciting clients, from onboarding to compliance, while also having the freedom and responsibility to drive automation and build systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Partnership & Accounting Excellence:

• Own the end-to-end client onboarding process, establishing seamless accounting workflows from day one.
• Manage and execute the full monthly and annual financial close process for a portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and deliver insightful management reports.
• Serve as the primary, confident point of contact for clients, building trusted advisor relationships.

Tax Compliance & Strategy:

• Prepare and file accurate and timely VAT returns for a complex client portfolio.
• Lead the preparation and filing of Corporate Tax (CT) returns, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations.
• Conduct technical research and provide strategic advice to clients on VAT/CT matters.
• Liaise with auditors and tax authorities on behalf of clients when necessary.

Process Innovation & Automation:

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in client accounting processes.
• Champion and implement automation initiatives (e.g., using tools like Zapier, Power Automate, advanced Excel, or dedicated accounting tech) to streamline bookkeeping, reporting, and filing.
• Build and document scalable accounting systems and processes from scratch for new clients.

What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable):

• A completed ACCA, ACA, or CA qualification (exceptional final-stage students may be considered).
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on UAE VAT filing experience with a deep understanding of the legislation.
• Proven experience with the end-to-end monthly close process and financial statement preparation.
• A genuine "startup mentality": self-motivated, agile, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
• Exceptional client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with major accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online, etc.).
