Senior Accountant
Overview:
A Senior Accountant is a experienced professional responsible for managing crucial financial data and ensuring the integrity of accounting information. They go beyond basic bookkeeping, handling complex accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is highly preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with management and other departments.
